Hi There!
My name is Billie Kennedy. I go by Dannic on many of the games and sites I visit. Though the number of sites has dropped significantly over the years. It is down to a small handful while I work on several different projects.
I am a single(currently) parent of two wonderful kids. One Girl and One Boy. Both are in the scouts. Some of you may have had the opprotunity to interact with my daughter when playing on Legend of the Green Dragon.
It isn’t always easy to do as much as I do with two kids. I can fully sympathize with any single parent. Especially any who are active in scouting and school for their kids.
I have always been interested in computers and the internet. I wanted a Computer Science degree when I finished highschool. Unfortunately, I never followed through with it. I went to a local college for a couple years before joining the military. A couple of years ago I attended Troy State Univesity. Didn’t finish there either. Much closer though.
I started with the internet well before it was actually an internet. I had a small BBS running Wildcat from my home for a short period of time. Once I moved to Atlanta I got back into computers and registered this url. That was about 1997 or so. Since then the site has changed constantly. Adding new things.
I started running various games on the website in November of 2004. All of them are running today. Hope to have more running in the future.
Mainly code in Php with Mysql database support. I do not find myself as an expert with either. I am more of an advanced user than anything else. I just do not have the time to dedicate to learning it appropriately yet. It is getting better though. I have learned quite a bit since opening my first PhpBB forum.
I still code various things for Phpbb, Phpnuke, LoTGD and several other systems using php. I also maintain approximately 10 websites that I own. I won’t get into the names of them here.
I hope to actually start a webhosting business here soon. I have enough websites of my own that it would benefit me to move them to a server and possibly turn it into a business. We will have to see.
As far as pastimes for when I’m not sitting in front of the computer slaving away making someone happy with the games, I enjoy reading Fantasy and Sci-Fi novels. No, really. I do have time for that. I also enjoy being the leader for my sons scout den and pack. I’m amazed I find time to be the committee chair for the pack with all the other things I do. Camping, hiking and geocaching are all part of our outdoor experiences as a family as well.
