Dannic, The Prince of Cats

I know I haven’t been in the Role Playing environment in quite some time. It shows. But I would like to get back into it eventually. I don’t know how easy that will be for me to do but it is a goal I have.

The current projects I have keep me from playing any game religiously. Most of those projects are in development and if I ever get them to the point that they are playable then it will be great. However, I cannot count on that being any time soon.

I have two projects that I am working on diligently. One is Karealia. This is a MUD that I hope to get going. And the other is The Broken Shard. The last one is a web based game that I hope will be quite a bit more popular than Legend of the Green Dragon. Only time will tell.

Either way, they are both going to be heavy into the Role Playing realm. Role Playing will be enforced with no out of character actions.

What do I mean by Role Playing? Well, did you ever pretend to play cowboys and indians as a kid? Or maybe school? Those are Role Playing games. You act out a part. Similiar to what movie, play and television actors do. They play a Role.

In these games I have mentioned, you will play your character in a role that you develope over a period of time. No two characters are the same. No two players are the same. So this makes for a great dynamic story that is constantly evolving.

If you have ever played Dungeons and Dragons with a very good Dungeon Master, then you will know what Role Playing a thieving kender is like. This is what I hope to achieve with the projects I currently have. Unfortunately they are both being done by just one person, so things may take some time to get to the point that they are great games.

Hopefully, support from the players will make the process of upgrading and improving on the games much easier.
