I know it has been quite some time since I posted or even showed up at one of the games I have currently running.  Have to apologize for that.

Time is starting to free up so I can spend a bit more time online.  Over the next couple of weeks, I should be around a bit more.

Been working some serious overtime lately.  The paychecks are nice but I’m starting to get a bit worn out with all the time spend not sleeping.

We also had some issue with a Union.  Short story on the union is that it came and tried to organize.  The Reps for the union were not very good and either thought we were stupid or just didn’t know what they were doing.

The union petitioned to have a vote on collective bargaining  last month.  Since that time, not only been busy with overtime, but I have also been busy with a committee for a Union free workplace.  Learned quite a few things about the Union that I didn’t know.  Glad to be on the non-union side of the vote.

We had our Union vote on Thursday and Friday.  Everything went well.  Over 400 voted.  The union was defeated two to one.  I know there were quite a few very happy people.  Myself included.

Now that it is over with, we have a year without having to deal with another Union organizing effort.  Been told that they will come back.  I certainly hope not.  This is the fourth try in the last 5 years for the union.  Only the second vote.  They lost even worse this time than they did last time.
