Posse Invasion Script Update
Been working on the script quite a bit. About a month ago, right after the change, I decided the script just wasn’t going to be quite as dynamic as I had hoped so I started working on converting it once again. Probably do this a couple of times. But for now, I think this is the form it will be in until it is ready for release.
I migrated most of the files over to a module system. This allows several things. One of the biggest is reuse of the code easier. The other is adding features to the game alot easier. It also makes converting it all over to an Ajax site quite a bit easier.
The parts of the game that actually worked still work and most of them have moved to the Ajax form. There are still a couple of things that need to be converted but they are getting there. I think I will be able to release the game come the first of the year if things continue to go well.
Moving everything to an Ajax site will help reduce bandwidth. This is something I have to fight with constantly with Legend of the Green Dragon. I am not the only one there though. Many a webmaster has been shut down due to either high bandwidth or CPU use.
Not sure how much the CPU use will be at the moment. That isn’t something I have been watching. Probably something I will start to worry about once I get closer to an actual release.
The game is very much in a playable mode. It has a couple of attacks I haven’t quite added yet and probably won’t until I get the attack feature converted over to Ajax. None of the Admin functions are really working yet.
If I had been happy with how it was turning out and all of the attacks were working, I probably would have already released it.
If you are playing it, I would like to know anything you have an opinion on it about.
