Haven’t Posted in awhile

I know. It has been a bit since my last post. I haven’t exactly been active on my own sites. I guess I should though since it is what keeps things going.
I added a few things to the posts. Mostly the ability to add the post to several different social services. [...]

Goals for Orpgs.com

I have a couple of goals that I want to get done for the coming year. I haven’t gotten them done this year. Hopefully everything will work right next year and I can actually get those goals done. I should be able to if trends continue.
First goal for the new year is [...]

Hacked

Yep, It happened. The website was hacked and used to spam or hack other websites.
Why did this happen? Well it was apparently due to some faulty code. All of which I never wrote. Phpnuke was the worst culprit on this for it’s security really is awful.
There are tools out and about [...]

Orpgs.com

It has been quite some time since I started using the phpnuke system for my website.  It worked great for what I was trying to do.  It still does to a point.
But I have been thinking of an overhaul of the main site to take advantage of some of the new things I have learned [...]

Role Playing Forum

It has been awhile since I posted.  I know.  Been really busy.
But I want to tell  you about the Role Playing Forum on the main site.
One of my more experience players on Legend of the Green Dragon requested we make one of the cities completely RP.  She wanted to do some role playing without being [...]

Ranking

Always trying to find some new way to improve my ranking in the various search engines.  I still have not found anything that will do that effectively.
I have noticed a bit of new traffic lately though.  Not certain exactly where it is coming from.  But I know there have been a record number of new [...]

An Admins Prespective

I have several games that I run. All of them take a little bit of my free time when I am home from work. Sometimes that time is only an hour or so before bed and other times it is several hours or the entire weekend that I can dedicate towards working on [...]

Games

Not sure how many have noticed but I have been trying to put new games on the site for everyone to play.  One of the things I have looked for is games to purchase.  There are several reasons for this.  The one that affects me the most is license agreements.
Many of the games currently on [...]

Player Vs Player

Player vs. Player(PVP) has always been a bone of contention between players of the various online games. Some people really enjoy the challenge that PVP offers where others abhor the entire idea of PVP.
Most Multiplayer games allow Player vs Player contests. They are generally lopsided with the more powerful players not minding [...]
